BUBBLES!!!

We love bubbles at our house!! There is nothing better than sitting outside watching the little ones playing with bubbles!! I had this idea on one of my boards on Pinterest and knew it had to be made quick, refilling bubbles was getting old! We picked up our pitcher from Target for around 5 bucks and added the vinyl and that's it! Hours of bubble blowing fun!!

Toy Story 3 Party

My son is obsessed with Toy Story 3, so when it came time to start planning the big party it was easy to pick a theme!
We ordered these adorable invitations form Etsy, I love how they turned out.

We have a pretty big family so we decided that this year we would have the party at the church across the street from our house, it was perfect. This is the table that was right by the door, we had a Guess how many Army Men are in the jar game, and some Subway Art. If it looks familiar it's because you have seen it over here at Oopsey Daisy, love her site!!
The cake with all of the Birthday Boy's favorite characters.
The whole table with cupcakes for the kids
Banner with all the characters, found here, I had the pictures printed at Staples and it was pretty cheap.
Happy 3rd Birthday Sign with Tissue Paper Pom-Poms
Table with Birthday Boy's collection of Pez Dispenser's
 Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head
The food table, we had Pizza Planet Pizza, Rocket boosters (bread sticks), Green Alien Salad, and Rocket Fuel (juice)
Besides the Guess how many Army Men are in the jar game, we had Pin the Badge on Woody. My lil sis is an incredible artist and so I asked her if she would draw me a big picture of Woody, yes you read that right, she free-handed this awesome picture!! I love it and it now is hanging in the newly decorated Toy Story room!

The Birthday Boy loved his party and kept telling me that his Toy Story 3 party was his favorite, definitely makes all the work worth it!!

Have You Heard...

That Provo Craft is suing Craft Edge, the makers of the Sure Cuts A Lot Software? I must be living under a rock because I had no idea until today! They are trying to stop the sale of this awesome program, so if you have even been considering purchasing this software I would do it now, as in right now. I can promise you that you will love this program, it's the only reason I even purchased a Cricut in the first place, I love that you don't have to buy cartridges, I can cut whatever I want. It seriously has been the best investment ever. HERE is the link to purchase the program and like I said I would do it as soon as possible, if you wait you may lose your chance.

Here is an portion of the email that I received from Expression Vinyl that explains a little more.
As you may have heard Provo Craft has sued the makers of
Make the Cut and Sure Cuts A Lot.  Sadly they have already
reached a settlement with Make the Cut and new versions
will no longer work with the Cricut. If you have an old
version just don't update it and it should continue to work
as long as your Cricut does.

Provo Craft and SCAL are still in court.  Which means if you
have ever considered purchasing SCAL now is the time to do
it.  If they do have to stop letting SCAL be compatible with
the Cricut buying now should ensure you a usable copy.  This
too should continue to work as long as your Cricut.

Birthday Shirt Sneak Peek

We have a big day coming up at our house next week, and the birthday boy needed a shirt for the special day. We are going to be having a Toy Story 3 party so this shirt was perfect for the soon to be 3 year old. He definitely does not like his picture taken!
Until you bribe him with licorice, and then he will pull all sorts of funny faces.
Oh I just love this boy!
And then he will let you know when he is done!!

I can't wait to share all of the party details with you over the next week!

The Best Before & After Ever!!

And I didn't even have to list a finger!!
Before- Ugly yellow wood siding and horrible windows.
After- Beautiful brown vinyl siding and amazing new windows. Don't mind the shutters laying on the front lawn, they are in desperate need of a new coat of paint as soon as the weather cooperates.
This is what came off of our house, no way is that going back up on my pretty house, you couldn't pay me!!

So I whipped this up one night to replace it. And the best part it only cost me $1!! Score. It was very easy but if you have any questions just ask and I will be happy to answer. Now I just hope that my command hook doesn't let me down, I couldn't bear to put a hole in my new siding!
And let's hope that those pesky salesmen see my pretty new sign, turn around and march right back to there car!!

Cutting It Close...

I finally finished my Valentines wreath, with 4 days to spare! I fell in love with this wreath last year and I never got around to making it, but I was determined that this beauty would be on my door and I couldn't be any happier!

Funny story, as I was putting this wreath together my husband says to me, honey do you realize that you have more wreaths than there are seasons? Of course I do babe, I need one for every month!! I am pretty sure he rolled his eyes :)

Sure Cuts A Lot

In a recent post I mentioned that I finally got a Cricut. I am sure the only person happier about than me was my mom, I was always using hers :) Anyway, I had wanted a Cricut for a long time but was not willing to spend the $40-60 per cartridge, I have more important things to spend my money on.

One day I heard about the Sure Cuts A Lot software and knew instantly that this was the solution to my problem. So I downloaded the trial version just to make sure it was what I wanted-that lasted one day before I knew that I had to have it, the next day I bought it and have loved it ever since!!

I love the freedom that it gives you, you can cut out any true-type font (99% of fonts are true-type) and it will work with any svg file. I can tell it exactly where to cut on my mat and easily change the size to exactly what I need. It has opened up a whole new world for me with my Cricut. If any of you are considering purchasing it, do not wait, I know that you will absolutely love it!! HERE is the link if you are looking to buy it, and I know that you really want to- just consider it an early valentines gift to yourself!!
