The Very Hungry Caterpillar

I originally saw this idea over at Craftaholics Anonymous and I loved it! So I stashed it in my "To Do" file and knew that it would be perfect for my niece's 3rd birthday. It was so easy and pretty fast and I love how it turned out.
I also included a copy of the book and it was all packaged in a container for easy storage.
To get the template for my food I just googled the food and printed it out full size. I backed all the pieces with denim and used spray adhesive to attach it.

I had to make my caterpillar a girl, I couldn't resist (she even has pink sparkly lipstick on!!)
I have a few more pictures (like the butterfly) that I need to add but my laptop is not want to cooperate right now so I will get them up as soon as I can. I hope that the birthday girl liked it, I had fun making it!

Four Year Anniversary

We celebrated our 4 year anniversary on the 19th (really? that went fast!) I had such a fun time planning this and I was totally inspired  by The Dating Diva's, if you havn't checked out there blog you need to, it is amazing! They have two great posts for 4th anniversarys you can find them here & here, I took inspiration from both of these.

All of this was a total surprise to my husband. I can't believe I was able to keep it a secret ( I get really excited about surprises!) I started out by giving him this Chinese takeout box that had 4 fortune cookies in it. The fortunes were pretty generic, I didn't want to give to much away with this part. I had him open each cookie with an envelope that had a clue about the day in it.

He was so confused when he read this and started asking all kinds of questions about if the little man was coming, who was babysitting, what he needed to bring, it was pretty funny. Of course I had everything packed and babysitters arranged :)
Our drive took us to the gas station, romantic huh? No? Well it was planned, after we filled up and got some treats for the drive I had him open the next cookie and envelope #2.
Envelope #2 took us Go-Kart Racing! I wanted to make sure that we did something we had never done before and this was SO much fun!! Not to mention that I totally kicked butt and won!! When we were done racing he got to open the next cookie and envelope #3.

How do you like that cheesy saying? I was having a major case of mommy brain and could not think of anything! Oh well, the hubby didn't care when he found out we were going to his favorite place on earth, Texas Roadhouse! It was delicious as always and we were stuffed. After we finished eating I let him open the final cookie along with envelope #4.

This one was hilarious! After he read it he looked at me and said what does this mean, we all ready had a awesome night! This is when I told him the BIG surprise, we were going to Park City for the night. He could not believe it and kept asking me if it was a joke!! He was so shocked and it was just the reaction that I was hoping for!
Once we got to Park City I had the game Connect Four and the movie Fantastic Four.

The next morning we went up to the Utah Olympic Park and watched Team Austrilia practice the ski jump. We stayed there for almost 2 hours, it was so fun!
We definately had an awesome anniversary and I know that my Husband loved it!!

We did the above part of our anniversary a little early due to the husband's work schedule so this is what I gave him on our actual anniversary.
This idea came from Love, Actually (another great blog!)
And the final gift for my wonderful husband was this candy gram that I saw over on

I love you babe and I really am the luckiest girl in the WORLD!!

Wedding Present- A month Late

I am a really bad sister!! I just barely finished my sister's wedding gift and she got married a month ago!! I am sure she will forgive me. I actually saw this idea somewhere on a blog a few months ago but I did not bookmark it so if anyone knows where this idea orginally came from please let me know so I can give proper credit. I don't have step by step pictures because I was so excited to finish it I forgot but it's so simple!

I got 2 frames from the DI for .25 cents a piece and spray painted them red when that was dry I used some gorilla glue to put the two frames together. I then took my polka dot ribbon and hot glued it on and added a bow. Last insert your announcments and your done! Super simple!!

Thanks For Sharing

Are you a coupon shopper? If so then you will know what I mean when I say that I was drowning in all the things I have been able to get for free over the past year. I only have a little closet to store all my stuff and it was getting VERY full. I also have a couple family members who take the paper but do not use coupons, and they are nice enough to give them to me every week, and I really appreciate it!! So I had the idea to say Thank You by sharing my stuff. I made up 5 of these in nothing flat and it feels good to be able to share with others.

Gather your supplies:
Ziploc Bags
Items that you want to put in your bags
Paper
Stapler
Tags

1st- I stuffed all my items into my bag and tried to make it look nice. I had the following in my bags- Body Wash, Toothpaste, Bar Soap, Deodorant, Face Cleaner, Floss, Razors, Laundry Soap, Fabric Softener & Gum.
2nd- I picked out my paper and cut it 4 inches wide and folded it in half to make the topper. Staple on.
3rd- Punch a hole and attach your tag.
That's it!! Super simple & FREE (thank you coupons!!)
This one is for Grandma, so her's was a little different. I included Rolaids, Cough Drops and Chocolate!!
I didn't do anything fancy on the tags, just wrote the name of the person and a little note that said Thanks for sharing your coupons! I think they liked it and it felt good to be able to share with them .
