For The Cook

Today I have the perfect gift to share with you for someone who loves to cook. My Mother In Law loves to be in the kitchen so when it came time to pick a birthday present I knew just what to do. I don't know about you but I can always use more measuring cups & spoons! They are like socks....they just disappear!
We picked out some new baking items, grabbed a flour sack towel and a plain apron and set to work.

The perfect gift that is sure to put a smile on any grandma's face

To create the personalized towel I asked my son who is 5 to draw me a picture for grandma. This is what he came up with, it is of him playing at Grandma's and something to do with portals....I didn't ask! After I had the picture I simply taped it to the window, taped the towel over it and traced the picture with a Sharpie.

The apron was just as easy. I traced both of my kids hands onto freezer paper and then cut them out. After ironing them on I simply painted them on with some fabric paint making sure to heat set them after they were dry. I also think that this would be adorable to put their actual hand prints on the apron but both of my kids are weird about their hands getting dirty....so I took the easy way out! For the words I used the same method as the towel. Grandma loves having that adorable 5 year old handwriting!!!

Fold everything up and place in a shiny new bowl with your utensils and you have a gift that they will love!
